Transvulcania is now the first mountain race in the world to introduce the management of its volunteering generated through the Transvulcania community
Transvulcania is not only synonymous with nature, but also with sports innovation. The test that years ago revolutionized the live broadcast by streaming and TV of this type of event, now continues to introduce technological developments with the idea of facilitating the management and internal communication. On this occasion, the most important part of the event will your volunteering .
A test of this caliber and complexity could not be carried out without its main muscle, all those people who selflessly, and for the love of the test, decide to lend their time and effort to contribute their grain of sand and carry out this test edition after edition.
For this reason, the management of more than 950 volunteers will be carried out through a new app where all project management will be channeled. For the Organization, in addition to proposing a more efficient way of working, this app will provide the key to the development of one of the objectives in which it has been working, the creation of a Transvulcania’s Volunteering community.
With this app, the Organization will be able to manage human resources around the course of each of its modalities months before the event by location, training, sending news and messages, and even direct contact with the Organization months before, and through until the end of the events.
So far, there is no known mountain race organization with a management system this advanced for their volunteers and creation of a community around them. The app called Donation Volenteering, can now be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play. After downloading, those interested will only have to enter the search engine and locate the Transvulcania event to register as a volunteer for the twelfth edition of Transvulcania and be part of this community.
As a reward for their work, each volunteer will have an official equipment of the event and as a novelty. There will also be an award for the best volunteer, who can meet the winner of Transvulcania.
For Belén Herrera, a veteran volunteer in the provisioning of the Port of Tazacorte, being a volunteer is “a great experience because you can help people to meet their own personal and self-improvement challenges, to be able to give a smile in those hard times in the that after hours of effort see the goal closer and closer … There are many emotions together” And he adds that “for me the most important thing is to serve the athlete with the greatest possible respect, with love and always with a smile”
And with regard to the new application for the Transvulcania volunteer community, he affirms that “everything that means progress for the group of volunteers will be welcome, in addition to the fact that we must also continue to be references in this part of the race”.
