The Transvulcania Naviera Armas curtains with the most contested Vertical Kilometre Binter in history

The race will open the competitive activities of the tenth edition of the Transvulcania Naviera Armas

It is going to be a show. The historic ascent to the Torre de El Time will crown tomorrow the first winners of the Transvulcania Naviera Armas at its most explosive modality, the Vertical Kilometre Binter.

The race, which will start at 5 pm from the Puerto de Tazacorte, will take 7,6 km until the runners reach the Torre del Time, where the organization has situated the finish line. Some elite runners, like the Norwegian Stian Angermund-Vik or the Japanese Yuri Yoshizumi, will try to be the first runners to cross the finish line. But it is not going to be easy for them to retain the title won in 2017, as there are going to be other elite athletes which will fight for becoming the new champions of this year’s race.

The Nordic runner will have to compete against other elite runners like the Spanish Aritz Egea, the Swiss Pascal Egli, the Japanese Rui Ueda, the Czech Ondrej Fejfar, the French Romain Berger or the Lithuanian Gediminas Grinus, who is also going to compete on Saturday at the Marathon H10 Hotels.

At the women’s category, Yuri Yoshizumi will have to compete against other amazing runners if she wants to keep being the queen of the Transvulcania’s Vertical Kilometre Binter once again. The Spaniards Laura Orgué and Eli Gordón, the Czech Zuzana Krchova, the German Michelle Maier or the French Christel Dewalle will try to win the race too.

The modality, which will still be part of the World Circuit of the International Skyrunning Federation (ISF), will be the best snack for what lies ahead the weekend.
