The registration period for the Transvulcania Naviera Armas 2020 is open. The twelfth edition of the race will take place on Saturday 9 May, with the appetizer of the Vertical Kilometer, which will be on Thursday 7 May. The Vertical Kilometer will be one of the races of the Vertical Kilometer World Circuit, which will make that the best runners in the world travel to La Palma in order to compete in this event. The other activities have been programmed as well. For example, the Transvulcania Kids-Junior will take place on Friday 8 May.
The Transvulcania 2020, named under the motto Sons of the Volcanoes, has just started his way to the edition in 2020, as the registration period for the Ultra marathon, Marathon, Half marathon and Vertical Kilometer has open. These inscriptions can be made through our website www.transvulcania.com. It needs to be said that the Transvulcania will be once again a race included into the Migu Run Skyrunner World Series.
“We will still count with a wonderful race. We will do everything we can to develop and create an even better event. We will try to make a race which satisfies everyone, especially the fans in La Palma, as we will try to connect the atmosphere of the race with the fans on the island. This connection was one the keys of our success in other editions”, said the sports counselor of La Palma, Ascensión Rodríguez.
For assuring the quality and security of the race, every runner has to show some evidence if he or she wants to participate at the Transvulcania. Every runner who wants to participate at the Ultra marathon will have to show that he or she has run a race with, at least, 40 km of distance in the last 18 months. For the Marathon, the runners will have to show the same evidence, with the difference that they will only have to show a race of, at least, 20 km of distance. For the other two categories, there is no need of evidences.
